The Default Mode Network (DMN) in the brain is also referred to as the Wandering Mind or the Screensaver of the mind. The Salience Network (SN) or Ventral Attention Network filters salient information related to communication, social interaction and self-awareness. The Central Executive Network (CEN) or Frontoparietal network (FPN) is involved in sustained attention, complex problem-solving and working memory.
